Well,
August is here and
it has started out
better than
expected. We
have been fishing
the lakes west of
Deer River and the
bite is still
above average and
seems to be
getting better
everyday.
I
have been pulling
number 7 in the
depth of 8 to 10
feet and producing
some great
walleyes, even
some fish in the
twenty four to
twenty six inch
range, with a lot
of 14 to 17 inch
fish mixed in and
some big northerns
on crank baits
too.
This
past weekend, my
family and I made
a trip to the lake
and it was fast
work with the
perch. Color and
shinier color #7
Rapala with four
limits of fish in
an hour and twenty
five minutes.
I
never even fished
as my sons reeled
everything
in. It's a
good way to take
the kids fishing
or even anyone
that wants to
experience
fishing, you catch
walleyes,
northerns, and
perch just
trolling down
shore line along
any kind of weed
line.
Try
this way of
preparing your
fish, you might
enjoy it!
Take a northern
fillet and grind
it up and then
grind it
again. Take
one egg, saltine
crackers and mix
it all up
together, then
salt and pepper it
to your
liking. Fry
the fish on top of
the stove in a
pan. They
are the best fish
patties!

fishing!
